HECK YES YOU ARE, BABY
Archetypes were first introduced by famous psychologist Carl Jung way back in the 1940’s.
If you wanna’ know more about the Jung’s theory, you can read my post over here, or you could just Google it because there are about a gajillion and one articles out there that talk about them.
So instead of trying to summarize his life’s work, this page is my version of how you can apply these babies to your business & life.
Let’s dive the heck in.
Naturally dominant personalities
Offer security & stability
Sophisticated & authoritative
To be powerful & influential
To create wealth & prosperity
To be respected
Easily corruptible

Online Entrepreneurs
Success and power are a way of life for the Ruler Brand Archetype. Money is just a tool to achieve their goals, and this mindset means money flows through them easily.
Rulers are all about creating order and structure. They show up in the entrepreneurial world as the ones with proven and tested, step-by-step processes for how to do things.
Amanda is amazing to watch. She’s a true Ruler in that she decides what she wants, then she just makes it happen. Easy as that.
Her methods are a bit more Magician-y than most Rulers, but her ability to strategize and organize her business to achieve MASSIVE results is so inspiring. Basically, she decides what she wants and does whatever she needs to do to make it happen for her – but all in a way that feels aligned to her goals.
Plus, she’s an Oklahoma girl like me, so of course she’s on my list.

Fictional Characters
Did you know that the archetypes all have a “shadow side” too? That’s why I’m showin’ ya the GOOD and the BAD side, so make sure to hover over the imagesto learn how each character fits the Ruler Archetype.
Elsa
She’s literally a queen, so she obviously had to be on this page. She’s not your typical Disney heroine, but she’s better. She’s a strong leader, and even though it took her a minute to figure it out, she brought Arendelle back together again.
Randall Boggs
Randall is the lizard (?) or maybe snake-y thing with legs (?) jerk that tries to steal the top spot away from from Mike & Sully. Classic Ruler shadow side – afraid of being overthrown. Ugh. I bet he’s even actually slimy.
Phil Coulson
I loved this guy. He was the glue that brought all of the Avengers together, after all! He facilitated the process and inspired his team to work together toward a common goal. #RIP bro.
Ego
He was a little too big for his britches. Yes, he did create an entire universe, but he also used his power for evil things – like trying to murder everyone. But his name is EGO, so we really should have seen it coming, right?
Minerva McGonagall
Professor McGonagall is classy, strong, responsible, and kind of a badass. She keeps the kids in line, but leads by example and empowers them to do the right thing.
Dolores Umbridge
Talk about abuse of power, man. She was controlling, abusive, condescending, and just plain mean. Basically, she was a straight-up tyrant. Luckily, she finally got sent to Azkaban where she freaking belongs.
Robb Stark
Nooooooooo! I’m still mad about this one. Robb was kind, responsible, and he would have been a freaking fantastic King. That effing old man is one of the worst characters. Luckily, Arya finally took care of him.
Night King
This guy is pretty terrifying. And he doesn’t even speak?! But I bet it takes some strong leadership skills to organize an entire army of undead zombie things.

My favorite part… Music!
Rulers ain’t no b*tches. They’re tougher than nails – Godsmack can promise you that.
This video is unbelievably cheesy. But that little country girl is a total bosslady. She wears snakeskin boots and looks good in her denim and pearls.
If you don’t know me yet, you should know I’m a bit of a music snob. And I’m really proud of it.
Sure, I can appreciate the occasional pop-y song for fun, but my heart lies with the true musicians who write and play their own music.
So it’s only fitting that this is my favorite song for the Ruler Brand Archetype.
Alter Bridge is one of absolute favorite bands ever.
I think I might actually be in love with Myles Kennedy.
